Swim Bike Run UNITED

Chris Doemland is the Martin Foot & Ankle Wellness Program Coordinator at Martin Foot and Ankle.  A native of York county, Chris attended Red Land High School in Lewisberry, PA where he was a school record holder, conference champion, All-State, and All-American in the sport of Swimming.  Chris attended York College of Pennsylvania and graduated with a B.S. in Sport Management with a concentration in Facility Management and Coaching.  After obtaining his degree, he was hired at Messiah College (Grantham, PA) to work with athletes at the NCAA level.  During this time, he obtained his NCAA Coaching Certification.  In his five years at Messiah College, Chris worked with athletes to reach their goals of achieving school records, conference championships, and NCAA qualifying times.

After Messiah, Chris took a position with Central York High School as their Director of Aquatics and Recreation.  While managing their multi-million dollar aquatic center, he was able to pursue his love of fitness training with the South-Central PA community. Following his passion for helping others with their athletic goals, Chris began working at Flying Feet Sport Shoes impart to gain a better understanding of proper athletic needs, but more importantly, embedding himself deeper into the vibrant community of athletes of all ages, levels, and interests.

Most recently, Chris earned his National Swim Coaches Association Certification and is the Head Swimming and Diving Coach at Red Lion Area High School.  At Red Lion, he has built a program where athletes enjoy comradery while striving for athletic excellence.  He has been named the York-Adams Conference Coach of the Year for his efforts.

Chris recently placed 1st in his age group in the Keystone State Triathlon and 7th in his age group in the York Marathon. 

Following some recent health issues, Chris dove back into his love of swimming and running and has even added biking into his fitness routine.  On September 2nd, 2017, Chris has decided to channel his love for fitness into a personal challenge to benefit our community through United Way of York County.  One of United Way’s focus areas is health and Chris will run, bike and swim to raise funds so that every community member in York County can have access to a healthy lifestyle and healthcare
