Attendance Awareness Month

September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Join us in promoting the importance of regular school attendance for all students from Preschool through 12th grade.  There are many different ways you can get involved as an individual, organization, or school. Many students miss school because they don't have simple items such as alarm clocks, uniforms, or school supplies. This year United Way of York County is getting involved to help decrease chronic absenteeism by hosting a donations drive. With your help we can make a difference in the lives of children in York County and motivate them to attend school every day. The following items can be donated to the United Way of York County office:

  • Alarm Clocks
  • School Supplies
  • Uniforms, including khaki skirts, shorts, pants & navy White, light blue, or navy blue polo shirts. Uniforms sizes should be for children in kindergarten through 7th grade.

Please download and share the Attendance Awareness Month Flyer and Poster to get started!
