Community Engagement Team

The Community Engagement Team is composed of business and community leaders, early childhood education providers, school personnel, higher education officials and representatives from a variety of community organizations who support high quality early childhood education in York County.

The Community Engagement Team oversees a grant from the Commonwealth of PA.  The goals for 2007-2008 are to:

• Develop and implement outreach plans to promote Pennsylvania’s “Promise for Children” and to raise awareness and demonstrate the benefits of the “Keystone STARS” and “Pre-K Counts” programs
• Facilitate linkages between school districts, early childhood education providers and other community stakeholders to help develop a community action plan to support successful kindergarten transitions
• Create and distribute an annual “Report to the Community”
