Day of Action (formerly Day of Caring)
The Day of Action program is designed to connect donors to a meaningful volunteer experience. Donating time in a local non-profit agency helps to build a strong team experience and relationships. It also is a wonderful opportunity to see how United Way donor dollars are helping the community. Most projects are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 12 or 1 p.m. Some Hanover projects may be held in the afternoon. Types of projects will include: Painting-inside and out, gardening and landscaping, helping at senior citizen activities, organizing office supplies, cleaning and light maintenance work, delivering Purple Ribbons, helping with park and camp projects, etc.
Join us on Thursday morning September 4, 2008 for United Way of York County's annual community-wide volunteer event, held in conjunction with the Campaign Kickoffs in York and Hanover. All volunteers are encouraged to attend either the York or Hanover Kickoff program. Click here for times and locations.
