Volunteer Tools
The Volunteer Center is the community’s top resource for the mobilization of volunteers. The Volunteer Center offers the area’s only searchable database of local volunteer opportunities, volunteer-centered resources to help volunteers of all ages connect and strategic partnerships that help the community be better prepared during a disaster and help low-income families build assets through free tax-preparation services.
The Volunteer Center is an affiliate of the Points of Light Foundation and the Volunteer Center National Network. The Volunteer Center National Network boasts a membership of 360 Volunteer Centers. Across the country, Volunteer Centers provide volunteers with resources and recognition, the ability to participate in strategic partnerships and the opportunity to train Volunteer Coordinators. The Volunteer Center is funded, in part, by the York County Board of Commissioners.
