Professional Development

“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.” -Henry Ford

The Professional Development Committee (Directors Roundtable Group) meets monthly between September and June on the second Thursday of each month at the United Way of York County.  The meeting is appropriate for directors, home providers,  lead teachers, school district personnel, community individuals and stakeholders interested in networking with other community members invested in early childhood education in York.  The meeting is typically 2 hours in length.  The first hour is community networking and updates presented by each of the organizations who are attending.  The second hour narrows down on a particular topic where the community supports each other’s successes and challenges surrounding the topic presented.  Frequently guest speakers are brought in for an in depth insight on the topic and attendees are presented with PQAS hours.  These meetings, if attended regularly, can also serve a professional growth activity for Keystone Stars.
