United Way of York County has been working alongside many community partners with The School District of the City of York’s First 10 initiative. This collaboration has resulted in work to enhance and align our Reading Ready Corner at the school district’s administrative building and to collaborate with Martin Library have a space geared specifically toward kindergarten readiness and transition.
From these efforts, we're excited to debut Kindergarten Here We Grow! Kindergarten Here We Grow Reading Ready Corners have books, resources, and materials aimed at increasing school readiness and transition.
Books and materials can now be checked out at the Martin Library Kindergarten Here We Grow Reading Ready Corner. Due to COVID-19, the installation at The School District of the City of York’s administrative building has been delayed, but please check back soon for updates.
Kindergarten Here We Grow Reading Ready Corners were funded by a grant from the York County Community Foundation Fund for York County.
