Bring Your Turkey to Church Day
Benefitting York County Food Bank
December 9
York County Food Bank is interested in partnering with churches throughout York County to participate in a "Bring Your Turkey to Church Day." Encourage your church to participate in this one-day event that will assure that hungry families have a joyous holiday meal this year! All you have to do is bring a frozen turkey to your service of participating churches on December 9. York County Food Bank volunteers will collect the turkeys after the service that day. Turkeys given through this county-wide event will be used in holiday meal boxes packed through the Give A Meal program. Contact Debbie Krout at 717-846-6435 to participate.
 
Men's Residence Dinner

Currently seeking donations of homemade baked goods, cookies, pies, etc.
Donation dropoff locations: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the York Branch YMCA (90 N. Newberry St., York 17401) or after 3 p.m. at Union Lutheran Church (408 W. Market St., York 17401) in advance of the December 13th meal.
 
Jackson K-8 School Holiday Dinner
5 to 7 p.m. December 13

In need of donations of side and main dishes, desserts, beverages, cookies for students and their families to decorate, and decorations for the cafeteria. Also seeking donations for a table set up with gloves, scarves, hats and tights/leggings for students. Contact Leyna Rozon at 717-781-9031 with questions.
 
Red Land Senior Center Christmas Party & Meal
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. December 18
Red Land Senior Center, 736 Wyndamere Road, Lewisberry, PA 17339
Join northern York County seniors 60+ for Red Land Senior Center's annual Christmas party and meal. The day begins at 10 a.m. with refreshments and goodies, and continues at 11 a.m. with live music by Holly Augenbaugh. Lunch will be served at noon with a special visit from Santa, followed by entertainment at 12:45 p.m. from Reader's Theatre Troupe from the Belmont Theatre. Reservations are required and must be received by Friday, December 14. Call the Center at 717-938-4649 to place your reservation.
