Day of Action

Save the date for Day of Action 2020: Friday, June 19!

Project registration for nonprofits will open Wednesday, March 4.

To make this year a success for your organization, that means the time to start planning is NOW. We encourage all nonprofits in York County to brainstorm with your team about a potential project. We're always looking for projects that can accommodate larger groups, so if you have an idea but aren't sure how to make it work, please reach out!

Not sure where to start? We're happy to help: Just reach out to Bryce Kruger, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, at krugerb@unitedway-york.org or 717-771-3809.

If you're new to e-Volunteer, our new volunteer platform launched in February 2020, the registration process for this year's Day of Action will look a little different.

1,000+ volunteers. 107 companies. 87 projects.

THANK YOU to all who participated in Day of Action 2019, the largest one-day volunteer event in York County!

Every year, United Way pulls together hundreds of volunteers to make Day of Action happen: Local companies are encouraged to give employees the day or part of the day off from work so that employees can volunteer and see first-hand how important volunteering is to local organizations. We saw more than 1,000 volunteers participate in 87 projects across York County, from painting, reading to children, landscaping, even installing fire alarms, demonstrating the incredible things we can accomplish when we work together.
