Day of Action is now Friday, September 4, 2020!
Every year, United Way pulls together hundreds of volunteers to make Day of Action happen.
This year, as we carefully consider the information available about the current COVID-19 outbreak and United Way’s commitment to the safety and health of our community members, we have made the decision to postpone Day of Action from June until Friday, September 4.
Of course, the heart of the event is the same: Local companies are encouraged to give employees the day or part of the day off from work so that employees can volunteer and see first-hand how important volunteering is to local organizations! To make this year a success for your organization, the time to start planning is NOW. We encourage all nonprofits in York County to brainstorm with your team about a potential project. We're always looking for projects that can accommodate larger groups, so if you have an idea but aren't sure how to make it work, please reach out!
Not sure where to start? We're happy to help: Just reach out to Bryce Kruger, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, at email@example.com, or 717.771.3809.
